Join the Drill Hall Team and our members group for a discussion about pieces in our home collections

Lockdown in the ACT presents many challenges to us all. One of the nice things about being home is being able to enjoy and reflect on our own art collections every day. Collecting art enriches our lives with culture and inspiration in the everyday. Artworks have always had a very important role in home life, offering moments of reflection, interest, and comfort. We thought that this month, we should take the opportunity to get to know each other a little better and give everyone the opportunity to share a work from their own collection. You may like to discuss a painting, sculpture, object or perhaps even a piece of digital art you have collected.

Director of the Drill Hall Gallery, Terence Maloon will discuss one or two favourite pieces in his collection. If you would like to share your favourite work with everyone in the event, please email Lucy at friends.dhg@anu.edu to let us know. A couple of minutes would be perfect. You can either share a photo of the work in the zoom chat or show us on the camera.

This is an online zoom event.

The Drill Hall Gallery acknowledges the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, the traditional custodians of the Canberra region, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
