About this Event
Welcome to all new and returning ANU Students to campus.
Come and enjoy some gentle yoga inside the ANU Drill Hall Gallery, suitable for beginners and all levels of experience. Enjoy the outstanding exhibition of abstract works by Sydney artist, Nicole Ellis in her survey show Fabrications. Start your semester on the right foot with some relaxation, care and inspiration.
About Miriam:
Miriam is both yoga teacher and nurse. Miriam endeavours to make practicing yoga a safe and inclusive experience. She wants to encourage anyone and every single body who wants to, to be able to have a go and feel welcome and included!
About the Exhibition:
Fabrications covers 30 years of the Sydney-based artist Nicole Ellis’ art-making. It surveys her rich and complex involvement with collage, assemblage and found materials. Fastidiously selected textiles comprise the “palettes” and provide tones and textures that she moulds into consistently beautiful, poised, luminous compositions.
What to bring:
Yoga mat, towel, water bottle!
This event is free to attend for all Drill Hall Gallery members. Non-members can attend with a donation (suggested $5-$10).

The Drill Hall Gallery acknowledges the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, the traditional custodians of the Canberra region, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
