This November the NGA invites you to step into a world of reimagined objects and found materials as we examine the life and practice of Rosalie Gascoigne. Uncover the extremes and the nuance of the Australian landscape as captured in the artist’s unique and powerful assemblages.

Sit down with art historian and Curator of the ANU Drill Hall Gallery, Hetty Gascoigne, for an intimate look at the life and practice of her grandmother, celebrated artist Rosalie Gascoigne. Hosted by the National Gallery’s Head Curator Australian Art, Dr Deborah Hart.

Rosalie Gascoigne is on display at the National Gallery in Level 1, Galleries 2–7 from 24 Oct 2026 until 14 Feb 2027.

NGA Friday Art Talks is a free weekly program. Hear from artists, curators and experts on the works in our collection and exhibition program.
