Please join us for a day of art, history and good company at the Bundanon Homestead and Studio of Arthur Boyd. We will have lunch at the Bundanon Art Museum cafe followed by an exhibition tour of Miwatj Yolnu – Sunrise People.

Organising your own transport is strongly encouraged however there will be a limited number of carpooling seats available with Drill Hall Gallery staff who will be driving to Bundanon. Please email the coordinator Lucy to enquire about carpooling – lucy.chetcuti@anu.edu.au

Itinerary

8am – Depart from Canberra OR for carpool depart from the Drill Hall Gallery meeting point.

11am – Arrive at Bundanon Homestead for walk through historic homestead and Arthur Boyd’s studio – No tour available at this site as it is open to the public but there are volunteer guides on site that are happy to engage with guests to discuss the history of the property, Arthur Boyd’s time at the property and the art exhibited in the Homestead and Studio.

12.15pm – Travel 30 mins to Bundanon Art Museum site for lunch at Ramox cafe.

12.45pm – Lunch in Ramox Cafe (reservation to be made once numbers have been confirmed).

1.45 – 2.45pm – Guided tour of Miwatj Yolnu – Sunrise People featuring seminal work from Northeast Arnhem Land, Yirrkala artists. This exhibition includes the work of Drill Hall alumna Ms N Marawilli (Fluent, 2023). – https://www.bundanon.com.au/miwatj-yolnu/
