Our wonderful President of the Friends of the Drill Hall Gallery, Kim Chapman has invited author and conservation architect, Peter Freeman to join us for a talk on SATURDAY 26 June. Peter will be discussing his recent publication Thoroughly Modern: The life and times of Moir + Sutherland Architects. Freeman was awarded the medal or the Order of Australia in 2019 for service to architecture.

The book details the seminal work of Malcolm Moir and Heather Sutherland, early 20th Century architects working in the Canberra region and across Australia. Many of whose stunning structures still remain today in Canberra.

Read more about Freeman’s research here in the Canberra Times
