The 2020 hailstorm seems so long ago, however the Drill Hall Gallery still requires roof remediation as a result of hail damage. Works are scheduled for February 2026, and will extend into March.

While the Gallery remains closed stay tuned through The Drill newsletter and our website for general Drill Hall and Friends programs, held in alternate locations.

We’ll be back to regular programming from April with an exciting and diverse series of exhibitions for 2026, which include Painting Itself 绘画本身, John Gillies: Faces on Screen and Burchill / McCamley.

The Drill Hall Gallery acknowledges the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, the traditional custodians of the Canberra region, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
