Friends are invited to join us on a field trip to Bundanon to view Sky, Earth, Water, featuring works by acclaimed Australian artist Rosalie Gascoigne, alongside significant new commissions by leading contemporary First Nations women artists Lorraine Connelly-Northey, Janet Fieldhouse and Glenda Nicholls.

Together, these parallel presentations offer a powerful dialogue across generations and perspectives, celebrating the enduring role of landscape, memory, and material in shaping artists expression.

Extending out from Gascoigne’s works, the exhibition features new commissions by leading First Nations artists created in response to Bundanon’s unique natural environment, and the respective homelands of the artists. These works draw on longstanding cultural knowledge, offering multiple-perspectives on the practice of site-responsive art-making.

Our very own, Hetty Gascoigne, Exhibitions Curator at ANU Drill Hall Gallery, will share some reflections on her grandmother Rosalie Gascoigne’s life and career.

This talk is Free with Art Museum entry – which is just $12 concession / $18 full price. Individuals can pay on the day.

There will be the option for lunch at the gallery cafe ‘Ramox’ after the Hetty’s talk. Please indicate when registering if you will be joining us, so an appropriate table can be arranged.

While we cannot provide transport we are happy to facilitate car pooling. If you have room in your car for another Friend, or you need a ride, let us know and we can put you in touch with each other – dhg@anu.edu.au.
