Drill Hall Gallery exhibitions honoured by Canberra Critics Circle

Last evening, Tuesday 13 November, The ACT Art Awards were presented by The Canberra Critics Circle.

Three exhibitions by Canberra artists held at the ANU Drill Hall Gallery received awards.

Robert Boynes

” For his powerful and dynamic exhibition of screen-printed paintings titled “Modern Times” , influenced by his love of film, spanning ten years, held at the Drill Hall Gallery.”

The exhibition was curated by Terence Maloon.

Liz Coats

“For her very personal paintings, created over a period of forty years, layering paint to build up fields of complex colour in which viewers are immersed. Active Seeing was held at the Drill Hall Gallery.”

The exhibition was curated by Tony Oates.
