Dionisia Salas POP UP Exhibition

Barbette 2014

Dionisia Salas POP UP exhibition for 10 days only from this Friday 31 October 5pm

Every eye for every hook for every loop

My practice in painting serves as a set of tools that works both as and beyond language, with which to ask questions or encircle issues that form our cultural identity. I am using painting as a point of reference to lived experience, bodily experience and process-based explorations, engaging abstraction through my responses to material, gesture and experimentation.

This work is from Glint, a combined residency in 2014 between Megalo Print Studios and the Canberra Glassworks. The works are experiments using paint, screen print and hot glass from the furnace to burn and print onto paper.
