The world is not a foreign land curated by Quentin Sprague

EXHIBITION CLOSES SUNDAY 10 NOVEMBER

This exhibition takes the notions of collaboration, dialogue and influence as its departure point. It involves Indigenous Australian artists who work within the localised histories of widely separated areas of remote Australia: the Tiwi Islands, the Kimberly and eastern Arnhem land. Their work stakes a claim for renewal and change by making a feature of artistic relationships previously unrepresented, bridging ‘untraditional’ media and eclectic traditions.

An Ian Potter Museum of Art and NETS Victoria touring exhibition.
