Radiant is the most recent in a series of Merilyn Fairskye’s video works whose subject relates to nuclear energy, the nuclear industry and the impact of nuclear tests and accidents. Her singular quest has led her to some obscure, far-flung locations such as the former Soviet nuclear test site known as The Polygon in Kazakhstan, Sellafield in the UK, Chernobyl, Ranger Uranium Mine in Kakadu and other major international nuclear sites.
An earlier project of hers, Stati di Animo will be screened SUNDAY 8 April 3pm at the China in The World Theatre ANU
