“A born-again fan of Jackson’s work” – a review by John McDonald

John McDonald gave a glowing review in the Sydney Morning Herald about Roy Jackson’s work, his retrospective exhibition at S.H. Ervin Gallery and the monograph about him that was recently published under the imprimatur of Drill Hall Gallery Publishing.

“He stubbornly believed the only thing that counted was the quality of the work, not the ephemeral ego gratifications artists enjoy during their 15 minutes of fame.”
